two days moving model

Done a moving model for two days. I danced with a rope and young art students wrote these drawings.

With 6 sets of half an hour, about 6 hours in two days, each of the students made one drawing. This class was required to integrate their knowledge, like anatomy and drawing skills.

It was for me the third time to do this work. I like this work because it is just a research of movement for me. It was up to me how I
change motif, shift balance, find a position on the floor, have a relation with the rope, limit the movability of body parts etc.. So it was actually quite free. I setted a problem for myself and played with it, one by one.

I enjoyed!

At the conference, I met

The picture book project has been launched

Triggered by the fact that I met Akiko Miwa last year through the workshop, M.Hirayama's Dance Workshop in Toyohashi, we worked again for Choja Beer Jamboree this year.

Last night our new project has started. We are going to make a music theater based on a picture book.

ACM, one of the innovative music companies in Chicago 2014

I heard that Access Contemporary Music had been named one of the 11 most innovative music companies in Chicago by chicagoinno.com this year. Congratulations!

In 2010, ACM commissioned me to write a new piece for Palomar Ensemble. It was an exciting project for me to work with players oversea through the Internet.

Let's keep on trying, and being innovative!

Falling could be a good moment

Falling could be a good moment for upcoming chance. Don't rush. Take the trouble as an occasion which you can check and improve things so that you won't fail again.

aware of the rest of my time

I attended a funeral last night.
Since Shugo was born, I have become increasingly aware of the rest of my time. Life might be not really going the way that you planned, but I would like to live one day at a time.
Ride on the crest of wave, and/but keep being myself. That I was thinking on the way back home.
